We're putting stranded wind to work.

Great Britain is building wind farms faster than the cables that carry their power. Until the grid catches up, someone has to decide what to do with the power that can't get through. We're building the software to make that decision well.

Our mission

Our mission is to make sure the clean power Great Britain has already paid for gets used. We do that by helping the people on both sides of a grid constraint, flexible energy users and independent generators, make better decisions, faster.

We're starting with two products. Nodal Shift Turn-Up will help flexible sites use power that would otherwise be curtailed. Nodal Shift Bid Copilot will help independent generators forecast curtailment and price their bids.

Why “Nodal Shift”?

On a congested grid, the value of electricity depends on where it is: its node. A megawatt hour north of the B6 boundary can be worth far less than the same megawatt hour in England. We shift demand, bids and decisions to match where power is actually available.

    We plan to earn a share of the value we create, measured against a baseline we agree with you.

    We build on Great Britain's public energy data, so our results can be checked.
